The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the deadline for submission of examination forms by private candidates of Class X/XII Examination 2023-24. This extension of dates has been announced in continuation of Circular No. CBSE/COORD/PRIVATE-XI1/2023-24/2023 for class XI, Circular No. CBSE/COORD/PRIVATE-X/2023-24/2023 for Class X, and Circular No. CBSE/PVT/LOC-X/XI1/2023-24 dated 11.10.2023 regarding extension of dates. The new dates for submission of examination forms are as follows:
- Without late fee: Till 18/10/2023 (Wednesday)
- With Late fee X/XI: 19/10/2023 (Thursday) to 25-10-2023 (Wednesday)
This extension of dates has been made to allow private candidates who missed the initial deadline to still participate in the upcoming CBSE board exams. Private candidates of class 10 and 12 can submit the examination forms by October 18, 2023, without any late fee. However, with late fee, the window to submit 10th, 12th exam forms will open on October 19 and will close on October 25, 2023.
It is important to note that all other instructions as given in Circular No. CBSE/COORD/PRIVATE-XI1/2023-24/2023 for class XII, Circular No. CBSE/COORD/PRIVATE-X/2023-24/2023 for Class X and date extension Circular No. CBSE/PVT/LOC-X/XI11/2023-24 dated 11.10.2023 will remain the same and must be followed.
This extension of dates is a welcome move for private candidates who may have missed the initial deadline for submission of examination forms. It gives them an opportunity to participate in the upcoming CBSE board exams without having to pay a late fee.
